The AI Institute Residency 2026

Role: Marketing & Operations Residency

Three months. Hybrid, based in Dublin.

Here is the exchange. You spend three months working inside an AI-first company, the kind most people are still only reading about, based out of Dublin. You get our full training and certification, a place on every course we run, and the thing none of that teaches on its own: what it actually feels like to do real work when AI is the default rather than the novelty. Once you've completed your training, you will be paid a nominal wage.

That is the trade. We think it is a good one.

What this role actually is

This is an AI role with a marketing flavour. The marketing job of the future, if you want the honest pitch.

You will manage the agents that do our marketing, the way a producer runs a team rather than plays every instrument. The agent drafts the newsletter and cuts the clips. You decide what is good enough to go out, and you make the calls that should never be handed to a machine: whether a guest fits the show, whether an idea is worth chasing. AI supports you across the rest of your work too. Your taste is the part that does not get automated, and it is the part we are hiring for.

Spend three months here and you get a head start on the way marketing teams everywhere will work soon enough.

ChattingGPT

In our podcast, our Founder Maryrose interviews people putting AI to work in their actual jobs, across construction, engineering, finance and beyond. It is one of the main ways the business reaches the people it wants to reach, and a good chunk of your work will run through it.

What you will actually do

>>Run our marketing agent to repurpose each podcast episode into newsletters, posts and clips. The agent does the heavy lifting. You direct it, check it, and decide what is good enough to publish.

>>Apply human judgement to guest selection. The show lives or dies on who is in the chair. You will help work out who is worth inviting and who is not.

>> Support Maryrose's speaking work. She is on stage often, and the moving parts around that need someone keeping them in order.

>> Keep the website current and correct. This one rewards people who notice the small wrong thing before anyone else does.

>> Create visual assets for social using Claude Design and Nano Banana. No design degree required. A good eye and a willingness to iterate, very much required.

>> Work with our external providers so processes run smoothly end-to end .

>> Bring your own ideas. If you spot an agent or an automation that would make the business better, we want to hear it. Some of the best work here started with someone asking 'why are we still doing this by hand'.

How you will work

You will get a clear brief and regular face time with Maryrose, then plenty of room to get on with it. Certain tasks are simply yours, and they have to land whether or not anyone thinks to remind you.

Freedom and autonomy only works if you are a true self-starter who finishes what you pick up, and if you have the kind of attention to detail that catches the error before it goes live.

If you need chasing, this kind of freedom will not suit you.

Who this is for

Someone hungry to learn how AI changes work, who would rather build the skill now than wait for a quieter month that never arrives. You are organised, you finish what you say you will finish, and you are comfortable being trusted with real work early.

You do not need to be technical. You do need to be curious and an experienced user of AI in your current workflow - whether that's college, uni, life or a current job.

You do need to be based in Ireland, as it's a hybrid role and you will be required to attend our Dublin office 2x per week.

Who this is not for

You are after a CV credential more than the work itself.
You need step by step instruction for every task.
You cannot give the hours consistently across three months.
If that is you, this will frustrate both of us.

How to apply

Attention to detail is most of this job, so the application is a test of it.

Go to our built environment course page: https://weareaiinstitute.com/built-environment

Read it the way a prospective course candidate would. Somewhere on that page are details that are inconsistent or out of date. Find them.

Go over to this form and tell us what you found.

Use AI to help if you like. We would think less of you if you didn't. What we are looking at is whether you catch what most people skim straight past.

Please note that direct LinkedIn outreach or email will disqualify you.

Closing date: 17 June 2026.
