Built for the way estate agents actually work

IPAV represents over 1,500 auctioneers and valuers across Ireland. Most are at the start of their AI adoption — they know tools exist, many have dabbled, but few are using them systematically or with confidence.

The barrier isn't motivation. It's knowing where to start and what is safe and appropriate to use AI for in a regulated, client-facing profession. This is AI Institute's Core AI Skills programme adapted fully for estate agency work. Everything participants see — the prompts, tasks, scenarios, and documents — comes from real property work.

  • Write and repurpose property listings across portals and social channels
  • Draft and respond to client emails: vendors, landlords, buyers, tenants
  • Research comparables and produce vendor or landlord market briefings
  • Screen tenant applications and summarise findings for landlord decisions
  • Turn inspection reports into landlord action emails
  • Build reusable content templates and internal knowledge resources

Who it's for

Irish auctioneers and valuers at any stage — from those who have never used AI to those who want to move from occasional use to confident, systematic application.

Residential agents
You want to produce better listings faster, handle vendor and buyer communications more efficiently, and build content that stands out across Daft, MyHome, and social channels.
Lettings agents
You deal with high volumes of tenant communications, application screening, and inspection follow-ups. This course shows you how AI can handle the repetitive work without creating compliance risks.
Valuers and commercial agents
You spend time on market research, comparable analysis, and client briefings. This course teaches you how AI can compress that work — while keeping your professional judgement at the centre.

The programme

Four sessions. Eight hours. Real outputs. Every session follows the same pattern: focused teaching, then hands-on tasks, then group share-back. Participants spend the majority of each session doing, not watching. Dual screen access is recommended.

Session 01 · 2 hours
Setup, safety & first prompts

How AI tools work, which to use, and how to prompt well — without data, privacy, or compliance risks. Prompting fundamentals applied immediately to property writing tasks. Includes EU AI Act basics and tenant screening as high-risk AI.

Teach · 25 min
How AI tools work
ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini — when to use each. Data protection and the Role, Context, Detail prompting framework. EU AI Act basics.
Do Solo · 30 min
First prompts from your working week
Write three prompts for tasks from your own working week. Compare a basic prompt against a structured one on real estate tasks.
Share Back · 15 min
Group debrief
What worked, what didn't, what surprised the group. Learning together from different use cases across the cohort.
Do in Pairs · 25 min
Email drafting exercise
Swap a real anonymised email each. Use AI to draft a response, then share and critique the approach with your partner.
Session 02 · 2 hours

Research & market intelligence

Estate agents spend significant time on research that AI can compress dramatically. All tasks completed in the session using participants' own documents.

Teach · 20 min
Strong vs weak research prompts
Using AI research agents on a specific address to produce comparable reports. Human verification and what to check before sharing with clients.
Do in Groups · 35 min
Research sprint: vendor briefing
Produce a one-page vendor briefing using a structured research prompt — what the property is worth and why, ready to present to a client.
Share Back · 15 min
Output review
Groups present their output and discuss what to verify before sending to a real client. Building a professional quality threshold.
Do Solo · 30 min
Document analysis
Use your own work: a tenant application, inspection report, or rental comparable set. Extract and summarise key findings using AI.
Session 03 · 2 hours

Workflows, content & knowledge bases

Building a content engine from a single property listing, and creating a reusable knowledge resource that anyone in the firm can use immediately.

Teach · 20 min
Building a content engine
One property as the source for multiple outputs. Reusable prompts and what to put in a knowledge base to save time every week.
Do in Groups · 35 min
Content sprint
From one property, produce a Daft listing, LinkedIn post, landlord email, and SEO copy — all from a single starting point using AI.
Share Back · 15 min
Tonal consistency review
Compare outputs across groups. Why tonal consistency matters for brand across a small team, and how to build that into your prompts.
Do Solo · 30 min
Knowledge base starter
Build a reusable prompt that answers the five questions you get asked most often — in your own voice, ready for your team to use.
Bonus Session
Hackathon
Included in price
No new teaching. Participants bring one real task and tackle it using everything from sessions one to three. You bring one real current task — a tricky vendor situation, a letting on the market too long, a new instruction pitch, or a market update for a client. You leave with at least one high-value output you can use immediately and a clearer picture of where AI fits into your working week. This generates the best peer learning — estate agents see how colleagues across residential, lettings, and commercial use the same tools differently.
