What you'll learn

This course shows you how to use Microsoft Copilot confidently, safely, and effectively across everyday work inside Microsoft 365 — in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Copilot Chat.

You will move from "I've tried it a bit" to confident, capable Copilot use, with practical patterns you can repeat across your working week.

  • Use Copilot in your core M365 apps to save time across emails, meetings, documents, and reporting
  • Reduce overload by letting Copilot summarise, organise, and create strong first drafts
  • Use Copilot Chat to answer questions using your organisation's content
  • Understand what Copilot can and cannot see, and how permissions affect results
  • Build and reuse simple Copilot Agents for consistent, repeatable outputs

Who it's for

Microsoft 365 users who want to get real value from Copilot — not just dabble with it. No technical background required.

Live Workshop
Where the magic happens

A four-hour workshop where you will learn how to use Microsoft Copilot confidently, safely, and effectively across everyday work inside Microsoft 365 - in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Copilot Chat.

Module 1: Email and meetings with Copilot
Reduce reading time and improve response quality

You will learn how to use Copilot in Outlook to:

  • Summarise long or complex email threads to extract decisions and actions
  • Review inbox content by topic, by person, or across a time period
  • Identify what genuinely needs a response
  • Draft clear, professional emails while keeping control of tone and content

The focus is on spending less time reading and more time acting.

Module 2: Working smarter with data in Excel
Ask questions instead of writing formulas

You will learn how to:

  • Ask plain‑English questions of Excel data
  • Add calculated columns, flags and categories using Copilot
  • Identify trends, comparisons and outliers
  • Create tables and charts directly from prompts
  • Analyse across multiple Excel files using Copilot Chat

Both in‑file analysis and cross‑file analysis are covered.

Module 3: Documents and presentations
Create and improve content faster

You will learn how to:

  • Draft structured documents in Word from a clear brief
  • Rewrite and improve existing content
  • Control tone, structure and level of detail
  • Create PowerPoint decks from prompts or existing documents
  • Improve existing slide decks using Claude for editorial refinement

Clear guidance is given on when to use Copilot and when Claude is the better tool.

Module 4: Copilot Chat as a knowledge tool
Ask questions across your organisation’s content

You will learn how to:

  • Use Copilot Chat to analyse across files and datasets
  • Reference documents and spreadsheets directly
  • Ask business questions that span teams or time periods
  • Produce short management summaries from complex material

This is where Copilot moves beyond task support into decision support.

Go further with the AI Institute
Our team builds automations. Your team runs them.
Agent Build
This course is where it starts, not where it ends. For those who are ready to go further, the AI Institute works directly with estate agency teams to build automations  - listing workflows, tenant screening pipelines, client communication sequences  - and hands them back through targeted training so your team can run and maintain them without depending on outside support.

"The Microsoft Copilot course was fantastic! The course leader explained complex concepts in a way that was easy to understand and highly practical."
