This course takes you from occasional Copilot use to a working practice you repeat every week, on the documents that fill a surveyor's day. You build the prompts, the knowledge bases and the agents in the session, on synthesised cost plans, tender returns, valuations and contracts that behave like the real thing.

Course structure
Hands-on throughout, with live demos and guided exercises on synthesised surveying documents. A week between each session, with two 30-minute practice slots set by the facilitator and reviewed at the next session.

Session 1· 2 November, 12pm- 1pm
Setup, safety and first prompts
One hour, one week before the main teaching starts. You confirm your licence works, that you can see Agents and Notebooks, and that Copilot is live in your Office apps. You agree the rules for what can and cannot go into Copilot when the documents belong to a client, and you run your first prompts on a surveying document before the hour is out.
Session 2 · 9 November, 12pm-2 pm
Personalisation and prompting
Two hours. You set Custom Instructions and Saved Memories so Copilot knows how you work before you ask it anything. You then build structured prompts using the six moves, and run them across Copilot Chat and inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, on tasks like interrogating a cost plan, summarising a run of meeting minutes and drafting correspondence you would actually send.
Session 3 · 16 November, 12pm- 1pm
Agents, knowledge bases and workflows
Bring a live problem from your own desk. You apply what you built in the deep dive to your own work, with support in the room, and leave with a working output you can use the next day.
Session 4 · 23 November, 12pm- 2pm
Workshop
One hour. No new teaching. You bring one real task from this week's workload and finish it in the room, with facilitator support and peer learning across cost management, PQS and contract administration. Everyone leaves with at least one output they can use on Monday morning.
